In order to provide the best possible user experience in systemd, we have decided to merge freetiger into systemd.
There are many reasons for that on one side we’ll get publicity an reach for our project by doing this, we’ll also benefit of the well thought build system used by systemd to provide libraries which could be used on all systems using systemd and those installing the needed dependencies.
For the systemd developers, this merge will allow them to make use of our fast cryptographic hash algorithms in fields like service authentication and file modification detection. This will benefit the users by providing a faster and more secure systemd.
We’d like to thank the systemd developers for giving us this unique opportunity to expand our user base and we hope there’ll be more chances to find synergies in the future.
